For the last 5 years we have been arguing that the Tamil national question cannot be resolved through war. We have said that through our own experience about wars in other countries, and particularly in sri lanka. The war launched by president Chandrika Kumaranatunga was called the War for Peace, but in the end that war became a disaster with large numbers of people getting killed and injured.
